Dr Darlso
Kia ora, my name is Kathryn Taylor. You might have picked up that connections to my ancestors on both sides of the family run pretty deep for me. Special mention of grandparents Nana Joy Taylor and Grandad Stills, whose influences reflect in all my work. I am a descendant of Rongomaiwahine and Ngāti Kahungunu, Aotearoa New Zealand.
Previous to life in the sausage-lane, I used to be one of Australasia’s top Interior Architect’s and a Shareholder/Director at New Zealand’s most respected architectural practice. My soul-centred approach to life in general, combined with my cultural identity, means I can bring multiple parts and people together, to create great things.
As of three years ago, I now write, illustrate and perform stories under the nom de plume ‘Dr. Darlso’. This name, and everything I have created here, is entirely original. I couldn’t believe this idea had not been thought of before!
All aspects of Sausie Posse, are a direct reflection of my personal core values: Fun,Connection, and Inclusivity. This sausage journey has ventured much further than my wildest dreams ever imagined… The voyage has become one of connectedness and collaboration. It goes well beyond storybooks, but for now, printing Sausie Posse’s three foundational stories as a community, is the goal. Never the end.
